A thermodynamic system can be defined as a triple $(\Omega ,E,T)$ where:

• $\Omega$ is the set of all microstates;
• $E:\Omega \to \mathbb{R}$ is the Hamiltonian (energy function);
• $T>0$ is the absolute temperature.
